Tradies are the backbone of Australia’s workforce, building our homes, maintaining our infrastructure, and keeping our communities running. However, their demanding work puts them at a higher risk of injuries and health issues. Whether you know one, love one, or are one, this Tradies National Health Month is a call to action to invest in their health. Tradies make up less than a third of the workforce, yet they account for nearly 60% of serious workplace injuries. If you're a tradie, here's what you can do to prioritise your health this month: 🩺 Regular health monitoring is essential in detecting early signs of health issues, especially for tradies who often work in challenging conditions. If you haven't had a health check this year, now is the time to book yourself in! 🧠 True health goes beyond physical. Check in with yourself, and be honest about how you're feeling. Whether you need to chat with a friend, a family member, or a professional, don't bottle things up if you're feeling stressed, anxious, or burned out. 🍎 Making healthy lifestyle choices is crucial in supporting your wellbeing. Eating balanced meals, staying hydrated, and prioritising good sleep are all pillars that support your wellbeing.
